Law Enforcement Appreciation Luncheon

Mark your calendar and join us on May 10 to recognize the members of our Law Enforcement Community that will be receiving awards referring to team and individual accomplishments.
About the Event
The Western New Jersey Chapter of ASIS International invites you to attend our 13th Annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Tuesday, May 10th, at The Hamilton Park Conference Center in Florham Park.
We will begin at 11:30 am with a networking session, followed by lunch at noon.
The fee for attending this special event is $30.00 per person, guests must register.
College students pursuing a career in safety, security, or law enforcement are invited to join ASIS and attend our chapter meetings at a discounted rate.
Please register online by noon on Friday, May 8th so that we can provide an accurate headcount to the restaurant.
Biography of Garry McCarthy (keynote speaker)
In September of 2006 after a national search of candidates, Garry McCarthy was appointed Director of the Newark Police Department by Mayor Cory Booker.
Prior to arriving in Newark, McCarthy enjoyed a distinguished career, spanning three decades, with the NYPD. In November of 1985 he was promoted to Sergeant; in November of 1989 he was promoted to Lieutenant; in October of 1992 he was promoted to Captain; in 1997 he was promoted to Deputy Inspector; and in 1999 he was promoted to Inspector.
In 2000 Garry was promoted to his final rank within the NYPD where in recognition of his outstanding leadership and many fine accomplishments he was appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Operations.
McCarthy spent seven years overseeing NYPD's Compstat and Crime Control Programs..
McCarthy, who holds a Bachelor of Science degree in history from Albany state University, is currently enrolled at Marist College where he is working toward his Master's Degree in Public Administration.
